I drove 10 hours to watch a rocket launch and it was glorious

NEW YORK — It isn’t every single day you watch a rocket streak into area over Virginia’s Jap Shore, acing its first-ever liftoff from American soil.

That was the sight I beheld this week after a protracted, lengthy drive from my house in northern New Jersey outdoors of New York Metropolis to NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia, to observe Rocket Lab‘s Electron booster make its inaugural U.S. launch. It takes 5 hours to get to Wallops from my home with out visitors. It additionally takes 5 hours to drive again.
