Adi Dravidian and tribal farmers can apply online to get fast electricity connection Namakkal The District Collector has announced.

In a press release issued by Namakkal District Collector Shreyasingh, “Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation (TADCO) is receiving online applications to provide fast electricity connection to Adi Dravidar and tribal farmers in Tatkal mode.

The Adi Dravidian Welfare Minister announced a plan to provide fast electricity connection to Adi Dravidian and tribal farmers during the call for grants for the year 2022-2023. Under this scheme, 90 per cent subsidy or a maximum of Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand according to the horse capacity of the electric motor, 900 for Adi Dravidians and 100 for tribals, a total of 1,000 farmers can be applied online through the Tatco website.

Applicants should be farmers belonging to Adi Dravidian and Tribal caste. Only those who have agricultural land and land title in their name can apply. A well or borewell should be constructed in the land. Apply for power connection at Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation.

In this scheme, applications are uploaded on TADCO website and applications recommended by the District Manager for 5 HP capacity electricity connection fee of Rs.2 lakh 50 thousand, 10 percent beneficiary share amount of Rs.25 thousand, 7.5 HP capacity electricity connection fee of Rs.2 lakh 75 27,500 for 10 HP capacity and Rs.3 lakh for 10 HP capacity connection fee, 10 percent user share for Rs.30,000 and 10 percent for 15 HP capacity connection fee for Rs.4 lakh Preference will be given to those who give Rs.40 thousand through Bank Demand Draft.

Farmers nominated by the District Manager for electricity connection during the years 2017 to 2022 will also have to apply afresh on the updated TADCO website along with 10 percent beneficiary share. Priority will be given to those who are already waiting for electricity connection.

For more details, you can approach Namakkal District TADCO Manager’s office and get the details and upload them along with relevant documents,” he said.
